I know I've been going heavy with all these hair posts. But, please understand that this is a huge deal for me. I'll still continue post cute pics of Princess and share our many mommy daughter adventures. I'll also be sure to sound off on different things going on in my life as well as in the news. In addition, I plan on giving you updates on my transition journey. This blog is all about balancing my career in front of the camera with my life as a wife and mom behind the lens, and the many other things that I juggle. Please feel free to share your comment and your stories too.

It's been almost seven days since I got rid of my relaxed ends. Here's how I'm feelin'

    I've toyed with the idea of getting off that relaxer train for the last few years, but I could never quite do it. Watching and reading your journey has inspired me to take the plunge! I've been dealing with a lot of the same issues as you after having my little one. Excessive shedding and major breakage on my front hairline being the main ones. I am now 5 or 6 weeks past my normal 6 - 8 week schedule, and all is well. Thank you for your helpful tips and observations!!!

      Thanks! I need to get some more. But, it's so hard to find satin ones like this in the store. I have to buy them online. How's your hair doing?

      Doing well - weather change is making it a bit dry so I've been doing weekly hot oil treatments!

    You look so cute with that bow. I am so glad that you are enjoying your hair post big chop.

    I had a lot of shedding post partum with my first child, seriously considered going natural then my hair turned around. I am expecting some shedding again this time around, my baby is only 8 weeks so we'll see what happens.

    You are such an inspiration. I am still addicted to the creamy crack but only time will tell.

    Love the headband. I want to see it on air! Unlike me, you can rock short here, I would look like a boy with boobs.
