20 year old Pedro Luiz Sosa, a promising boxer, now lies in acoma at a local hospital. His 19 year old sister, Jennifer died. She was a waitress, and single mother of her one year-old son Jefferson. This was a horrible tragedy that could have happened to anyone. This story hits close to home because Jennifer was also a mom. I can't imagine a night without Princess, much less an eternity!

It's unknown whether or not Pedro would ever be able to put on those boxing gloves on and step into the ring again. We can all only pray for him and his family. Feel free to watch more on this story below. Please share your thoughts.
Weather Anchor Mama

We all take life for granted. That's why we need to appreciate and enjoy every day, and remind ourselves (not to sweat the small stuff !). Especially our families. we need to APPRECIATE our families. and we need to enjoy now,we never know if we'll ever have the opportunity tomorrow. Don't mean to be long winded, but stories like this always remind me of the lesson my very wise wife taught me. We wanted to travel overseas for my son and nephew's bar mitzvahs. I being a social worker, she being a public school teacher - my reaction: "what are you crazy, we can't possibly afford that." Her reaction: we have been poor, we are poor (not really "poor" but not living in the lap of luxury)and we'll continue to be poor, and have to work for years and years and years, so if we can't enjoy now, who knows if we will EVER be able to take such a trip in the future. The result: this was the trip of a lifetime, and I am forever thankful for the wisdom of my wife (you women- - always smarter than men !). so, live now, appreciate your family, and EVERYONE should complete a Health Care Proxy !!! (the social worker in me talking). btw, that pic of you and your daughter- gorgeous, simply gorgeous
